This year's installment cuts back quite a bit from the past in terms of gameplay. Here we have more freedom than in a normal match and the game is more arcade-like. The fan-favourite VOLTA Football mode has been revamped and is now even more reminiscent of what players loved about FIFA Street. The best players can compete in weekly FUT Champions tournaments, where depending on the number of matches won we can get measurable prizes.

The developers have made sure that we don't get bored even for a moment in this mode - we get various challenges, for which we are rewarded with packs of cards and coins, which we can use to buy new players. The basis of the game in FUT is collecting cards of football players and playing matches with them. A new feature introduced in this year's installment is the ability to create your own club from scratch and lead it to the very top of the soccer pyramid.įans of multiplayer battles are sure to jump into FIFA Ultimate Team. We are responsible for making transfers, choosing tactics, scouting and playing matches (although nothing stands in the way of simulating them). In Career mode, as in previous installments, we play the role of a manager and deal with the broadly defined management of a football club.

At their core, they don't differ much from what EA Sports has accustomed us to, but this year we'll find a few new features that should appeal to fans of the series.
